Museum Repair

Bicentennial Project logo we were awarded for the repair project to our museum

he Hinckley Historical Society is raising funds to repair and stabilize the building which houses its museum this spring. The brick fascia on this 1940s building is separating and leaning. The metal framing above the windows has deteriorated and the windows need replacing with museum quality glass. The repairs have been named an Illinois Bicentennial Project for our community. Your donation can help reach the goal of making these urgent repairs. If you would like to contribute, click the ‘Donate’ button at the top of the website. We appreciate any contributions no matter the size.

The museum helps hundreds of visitors each year discover the past through dioramas, artifacts, photographs and documents from the Village of Hinckley and Townships of Squaw Grove and Pierce. Making connections with the past and present helps build perspective for the future.
